Voter Registration

    Please remember... the best thing that could happen in our community is that everybody will participate in the next election by casting their vote. So, if you are not a registered voter, please become one.  If you come to the meetings, we will have registration cards or you can register on line below.

We would like to challenge the mountain to go out and express your opinion. We want to see 1000 or more votes coming from our community. By the way, have you considered that with 1000 votes we will be able to elect the candidates we want to run our Town?

The last fact, your vote has the same value as that of a millionaire, which is probably the only thing that will make everyone in the state equal. So if you are not a registered voter become one, here are the conditions to become a registered voter:

  • be a U.S. citizen;

  • be 18 years old by December 31 of the year in which you file this form (note: you must be 18 years old by the date of the general, primary or other election in which you want to vote);

  • live at your present address at least 30 days before an election;

  • not be in jail or on parole for a felony conviction and;

  • not claim the right to vote elsewhere

You can register in person at your County Board of Elections or at any New York State Agency-Based voter registration center. You can fill out and mail a "Voter Registration Card at any U.S. Post Office. You can enter your name directly into our mailing list database. You can call our 1-800-FOR-VOTE hotline to request a voter application.  Being a registered voter does not increase your chances of being called for jury duty.  Prospective jurors are taken from the Department of Motor Vehicle list.
